Mt. Zion - Rose Dunkirk Boyd, 91, of Mt. Zion passed away in her residence at 5:30 a.m., Saturday, June 5, 2010.
 
Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. John’s Hospice Care. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.dawson-wikoff.com.
 
Mrs. Boyd was born August 5, 1918, in Schram City, IL the daughter of Clifford and Sarah (Conley) Dunkirk. She married William Turney Boyd on June 17, 1934. He preceded her in death on December 16, 1966. She had worked at the Hillsboro Dress Factory, Hillsboro Glass Factory, Tool and Die of Hillsboro, Hillsboro Bakery and Restaurant, and a Beautician at her home. She then went on to retire and enjoy time with her family and grandchildren.
 
Surviving are her daughters: Donna Smith of Mt. Zion, Mary Pickel and her husband David of East Point, GA; brother: Charles Dunkirk; grandchildren: Jerry Smith and his wife Chris of Mt. Zion, Kevin Smith of Mt. Zion, Tracey Pickel of East Point, GA, Michele Krey and her husband Randy, of Chisago, MN, Bill Lode of St. Paul, MN and Dan Lode and his wife Kristy; great grandchildren: Beth Smith, Lisa Smith, Rindi Smith, Katie Smith, Nichol Krey, Janelle Krey, Alec Lode, MacKenzie Lode, Jaclyn Lode, and Danny Lode; great-great grandchildren: Camryn, Jaden, and Gabriella Smith.
 
She was preceded in death by husband, parents, Daughters: Sarah Elizabeth and Janice Kay, brother, sister and son-in-law Carl “Bill” Smith
